Aloha From Hawaii

Ain't All Lehua and Rainbows -
HAWAII AIN'T ALL LEHUA AND RAINBOWS!
We got problems in paradise - from our forests, to our government, to our day-to-day lives.
Although this shirt is based on a very specific problem and a very specific quote in our newest film starring Justin Lee - it's representative of the whole.
On this shirt, you can find a dwarfed Ohia Lehua endemic to Mount Waialeale - I've only ever had the pleasure of seeing this plant once in my life.
As well as a menacing-looking Puaa or Pig trampling over this native plant.
Although pigs are a problem and need to be controlled here on the islands - our Ohia have much much bigger problems nowadays.
R.O.D. (Rapid Ohia Death) a fungus that KILLS mass amounts of Ohia VERY QUICKLY.
And as of now, there's no known cure. To do your part, whenever you enter or exit forest with Ohia - scrap your boots and spray them with Alcohol.

Aloha From Hawaii is more than just a brand
It's a mission to tell and share stories of Hawaii - with our products, our films, our podcasts, and even our logo. For our owner, Sam Potter, having the Koa'e kea as the symbol for the brand was an easy decision.
"For me, the Koa'e represents the humble beauty that can be found here in the day-to-day life of Hawaii. In the early mornings of Waimea Canyon, you can watch the Koa'e jump from their nests nestled amongst their Mauka (mountainside) home, ride the island's thermal currents up into the sky, and then head Makai (oceanside). Where they spend their days fishing. It's in these small details, small stories, small actions - that you learn why Hawaii is so damn special."
